By Jamie Geller
William Morrow - an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers

Jamie Geller continues to amaze us – her energy, her warmth, her entrepreneurial spirit, her self-confidence and her love of all things Jewish – demonstrated by her family’s recent decision to make aliyah and move to Israel.

And, now another book, her third. We don’t know where she finds the time, but we’re glad that she does. But, Joy of Kosher, Fast, Fresh Family Recipes is not just another cookbook. It is a love story between Jamie and her readers. She shares her personal thoughts, her feelings and her relationships side by side with her recipes. We have known Jamie casually for several years, but after reading her new cookbook, we have forged a new relationship with her— as will you – she will surely have so many new “BFF”s.

We never knew that she was an incurable serial hugger!  We do not know her Hubby, but after reading about him, we certainly want to!  And shvigger (mother-in-law) Karen can come cook into our kitchen anytime. We can visualize the clear golden chicken soup, made by Ma and Uputzi, and taste the dark rich earthy chicken soup cooked up by her other grandparents Grandma and Poppy. And then, there are the 5 adorable Geller children.

Yes, you will love this cookbook for the stories, the intimate glimpse into Jamie’s life, and of course, the recipes. They are creative, simple, warm and happy --  just like Jamie. There are 100 recipes with options to dress them up or down. . . so actually, more than 200, accompanied by anecdotes. The recipes are complemented by the gorgeous photos of Andrew Purcell. The book also includes Jamie’s advice on “must have” kitchen tools and pantry ingredients, along with a “yiddish-yinglish” glossary.

Jamie has certainly embarked on an incredible journey since her bestselling first book “The Bride who Knew Nothing”.   Her new Joy of Kosher, Fast, Fresh Family Recipes will make you smile, and inspire you to cook, again.

Get ready Jamie – for a big Mazeltov hug when we see you!
